Why doesn't Envie send emails?
Deliberately, and permanently — your email tools already do it better, with your sender reputation and your consent records.
Envie sends no shopper emails — not abandoned-wishlist nudges, not price alerts, nothing. This is a design decision, not a missing feature.
Because you already have an email tool
Your Klaviyo (or whatever you run) holds the consent records, the sender reputation, the templates, the quiet hours, the suppression lists, and the analytics. A wishlist app that sends its own email duplicates all of that badly and splits your customer's message history across two systems.
So Envie does the part only it can do: it tells your tools the moment something happens.
- Klaviyo forwarding — wishlist activity as metrics on the profile; build the flow in ten minutes.
- Outbound webhooks — the same events, signed, to any endpoint.
- Shopify Flow — "Wishlist item added" as a trigger for anything Flow can reach.
- Customer metafield mirror — the wishlist as data on the customer, readable from Liquid and Flow conditions.
The one exception
When a customer asks the merchant for their data, Shopify's compliance webhook produces an export and Envie emails the download link — to the merchant. That is the only email in the system.
If "wishlist reminder emails" is on your checklist: the abandoned-wishlist recipe is exactly that, sent by the tool that should send it.
